But most of this has a greater contribution to plastic pollution. Just like plastic bottles. There are more than a million plastic bottles that are sold in every single minute. Those plastic bottles take at least 450 years to completely degrade and every year, 8 million metric tons of plastic end up in our oceans. Did you know that plastics are a big threat to animals, plants, and even human beings? According to the World Health Organization (WHO) the presence of micro-plastics in treated tap and Bottled water has raised questions about the impact that micro-plastic in drinking water might have on human health. Micro-plastics have been detected in marine water, wastewater, freshwater, food, bottled water, and even in tap water. Let’s make a difference, reduce plastic bottles for the environment.
